Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

The town of Julian and Apple Pie

The town of Julian, California is an old town that is famous for it's apple products, especially it's apple pies. It took us about 1-1/2 hours to get there. We had lunch, bought a small apple pie and headed out. The ride to Julian took us through the Anza Borrego Desert and a lot of twisty turns. Wish I still had a motorcycle.
A shot of a portion of main street.
Some history of an old building
The plaque above, was on this building

More info. posted along main street.
After lunch we started to head back to our Salton Sea camp. Joyce drove back so I could do a little video.
Anza Borrego Desert State Park
It was very hot driving through the desert terrain.
I wanted to get some pictures of the different cactus.
These are Barrel Cactus and they are starting to get small flowers.
A good portion of the cactus are beginning to flower. If it was ever to rain, this place would really come to life.
Pretty but don't touch, these are the real thing!
I had Joyce stand by the cactus so you could get an idea of the size. The picture below is a close-up of the flowers.

A twisty ride in Anza Borrego

Anza Borrego Desert

Driving out of the borders of the park, there is state recreation land where you can park you RV and go 4-wheeling or just camp. It's nice when there is so much land that you can enjoy for little or no money.
Diesel is cheaper than Unleaded Gas, one more reason to get a Pusher Motorhome!!! I have been seeing more of this in the western states so I had to get a picture for my diesel pusher friends.
The end of another great day!
