Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Just Another Day At Home

We had a really windy day yesterday. I was outside cleaning up and heard a loud crash. My neighbor has a large pine tree in front of his house and the wind caused it to split down the middle. The larger part of the tree fell on his roof causing it to partially cave in. No one was injured but his horses that were next to the house were running scared.
Then we went to our granddaughters track meet. One granddaughter finished first in the 100 meter race, and the other finished first in the hurdles. Saturday they will be in some races that will include about 20 towns from Massachusetts. The girls are picked to be favorites based on their record times. Should be a fun day.
I have been doing a few small projects in the coach like installing another cup holder by the drivers side sofa. Actually we are ready for the road if we could leave but Joyce still has to have her cataract surgery and I will be having the Bursa removed from my right knee, so it will be a couple of months before we leave.
In the mean time, Casey is growing fast and I believe that she is looking forward to the next trip.

Still Doing Yard Work

The grubs have invaded what little grass that was left on the front lawn. I applied some Grub stuff to rid the lawn of those disgusting looking things.

I have also been puttering around in the motorhome, looking for things to do. I still have a cup holder that I have to add to the slide trim by the sofa behind the drivers seat.
I've been think of adding some kind of shelf in the propane compartment, it would make a great place to store the outdoor mat for traveling.

Joyce is scheduled for her cataract surgery and should have both eyes done and ready to travel by the beginning of July. We are beginning to plan our summer trip that will take us across the upper states. We are not sure how far we will travel, it will depend on fuel prices.

Casey the puppy has just about doubled her weight since we got her 3-1/2 weeks ago. She sleeps l night and scratches at the door when she has to go out. Tomorrow she starts puppy training classes because we want to be sure that she behaves on a leash and comes to us when called. Those two things are very important to us.

Things To Do

After six years of use, I figured that it was time to send the Tow Bar in for a total rebuild. It was still working fine but the joints seemed to be getting a little sloppy. I contacted the manufacturer and the total turn around will take about four weeks.
Had to do some yard work today....yuk...as you can see, the front lawn is a mess. We had to have a title V inspection done on the septic system before we left in Dec. the ground was frozen and when they dug it up we had a thaw and refreeze.
I hate doing yard work but we have a showing on the house on Friday so we have to clean up a winter's worth of branches and plant some flowers on the pots we have on the decks.

We're Home!!!!

We headed out early around 8:30 so we could get home at a reasonable time.
Made it to New Jersey and the fuel was $2.89 a gallon. I topped off the tank because I knew home prices were going to be higher.
They were forecasting rain but we had sun for our ride.
The sky line of New York
Then the state that I hate to cross because it seems to take forever.
The view as we approached Mystic.
Coming up to the last leg of the ride.
The city of Providence, RI
Then after seven hours, we pulled into the driveway.

Now tomorrow the chores will start around the yard, get caught up on our mail, etc. Right now I'm down for the count.........goodnight!

Enjoy The Last Day Before Heading Out

The girls went shopping......again!
They have to check out each and every store in town.
Wow, don't know where this came from!!!!!
While the women are inside, I am test driving this awesome rocker.
Then there was a thunder storm on it's way and the sky started to get nasty looking.
This cow figured he would sit the storm out under this tree.
Hey.......more cows!
And this is there home. At this point we were about 100 yards down the street from camp and the sky opened up. We were all soaked by the time we ran to the motorhome.

Family Reunion In Pa.

We only had a two hour ride from our Walmart campground to Beacon Hill Campground. Here we are at the intersection where we have to turn left.
And our campground is only about a quarter mile down the road.
The area is so pretty to drive through with all the farms.
Here we are and we were lucky enough to get the corner site that is right on the road where we can sit and watch the Amish buggies pass.
The town border sign is directly across the street from us.
As I had mention, our two daughters came to spend a few days with us.
Across from us on the side street is an Amish farm, the mules were hooked up to work the fields.
And the is a gift shop within walking distance.
So mom and the girls went to check out the shop. I took this shot while sitting outside the coach.
The town of Intercourse has a shopping plaza just for us tourist.
With lots of shops and a Fudge store. I only did the fudge shop.
Then me and Casey rested while the women shopped. A women from Australia caught sight of Casey and knowing that she was an Australian Sheppard, she had to take a picture of her. The funny thing is that Australian Sheppard's are not from Australia. Oh well, it was a beautiful day.

We have Been On The Move.

We left Front Royal, Va. and decided to back road it towards our destination in Pa. We left the campground and traveled the scenic route of 55 West into West Virginia to route 32 North.
The road was a little narrow and twisty but was still a slow and beautiful ride that took us through some of those small towns we love.
There were also some great farms along the way.
And don't forget the old churches.
On Route 32 we came to Canaan Valley Ski Resort with a full service campground for only $18 per day.
Casey will follow us everywhere off leash but she fights us when the leash is on. Here we are in training.
This is the road out of the campground as we were leaving to continue on our back road trek.
More beautiful roads with very light traffic.
More historic towns.
This plane that was part of the sign, had it's propeller turning. Looked so real.

Soon after we got on the highway to route 81. We are now in a Walmart just off the highway in Chambersburg, Pa.

Tomorrow we will head out for Beacon Hill Campground in Intercourse, Pa. where our two daughters will be come to meet up with us for the weekend.

We Are In Front Royal, Virginia

We left Lynchburg this morning and continued to travel route 29 to route 6. We were heading to Walton's Mountain, the problem was we had to turn around because they were working on an old bridge and the lane was limited to 9 feet wide. That was too close for me to chance so we missed Walton's Mountain.....Bummer!!

Anyways, we went back on route 29 till we got to scenic route 231 which although narrow, was a smooth beautiful ride.
This is designated as Byway that has some areas where battles we fought during the Civil War.
We could really stop because there wasn't anywhere to pull off.
So we just enjoyed the ride till we got to Front Royal
Once we park at our campground (North Fork Resort) we took Casey out to run.

She loves to run in the grass.

Joyce has stared the training, never too early.

We don't have any plans for this area, I would like to kick back and jell but who knows!!
