Laundry, Classics, & Dates

Today was laundry day so we had to go to the big city to find a laundramat. While Joyce did the laundry, I was off to the animal hospital to get Mac's special dog food. Every other state that we have passed through, we could get the food at Pet Smart. Here in California, it can only be purchased at the vet's and at a premium price. Government control on dog food!!!!!!!!

On our ride back to camp, we came upon this VW. There are a lot of the old Bugs around, but this one was really nice.
The two pictures below are of a Vixen RV. These were manufactured from 1986 - 1989 and were a bit ahead of their time like so many other automobiles that are no longer manufactured. I found this one in the parking lot of the Oasis Date Co.

We stopped at the Oasis Date Company which is only about 6 miles down the road from us. Date farms are very common for this area so we just had to do some sample tasting.

I'm not bashful but this was Joyce's 1st date, (pun intended) she never tried them before.

And for those inquiring minds, we are still at Corvina Beach at Salton Sea and will probably be here at least a couple more days. No hurry to leave because we really like it here.
