Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Heading North To Alaska By Way Of Grande Prairie

Heading out of Hinton, we take Route 40 to Alaska
First stop along the way will be Grande Cache
The road was in good repair but very narrow with a shoulder that just dropped.
So I really had to pay attention.
These signs were posted along the way.
This town was very small but had just about everything you would need for small shops.
There information area was built by volunteers and businesses in town. This is the list.

Nice to see a town come together to build something nice like this.
 History on the town.
 A Cache
AWickiup

 Look for the pirate
Some of the towns historic buildings from the area.

They really want to educate about the animals.

 Back on the road.
 Oh....a narrow bridge.
Coal mines are in this area and you can see where they were working the mountain.
The coal is piped across the street to the plant where is loaded on coal cars.
The mine is on the left.
Further down the highway, we ran into more road work.
Here's a smart guy that took advantage of the road work, and set up a road side snack stand.
Coming into Grande Prairie. This is a big congested town so Joyce has to take a brack from the camera and help find the right route to our next camp.
