Short Weather

Well it was 27 degrees this morning at 7:00 and I refused to get out of bed till Joyce turned the heat up. Yes, I'm a wimp.

I am still wearing my shorts and I figured that I could make it till we head back to Florida in December but I don't know. My knees are cold!

We are low on propane and I hate having to pack up the coach to drive two miles to get the tank filled. So, I took a ride to the propane dealer which happens to be an old friend. He normally doesn't make deliveries on such a limited amount but said not to worry, he will schedule a delivery for tomorrow morning just for us.....fantastic!

Talked to the contractor back in Florida to see how things are doing with getting the building permit for the house. Stated that he hopes to have it by the end of the week and should soon after begin to break ground. Man. they don't do anything fast in Florida!

Honoring The Troups On Veterans Day

Whereas it is Veterans Day, Joyce and I took a ride to the Veterans Cemetery on Cape Cod to visit her father's grave.

So many graves everywhere you looked.

It was a very emotional visit seeing all those flags, and this was only a small portion of all the soldiers that served this country so we could live free.

 Joyce's dad's ashes are placed in this wall.

 On our way back home, we stopped along the canal so Casey could stretch her legs. That's the Sagamore Bridge in the background.

 As we looked back, this tug boat came around the corner with a barge in tow.

Winter Is Coming

We left the Jeep Liberty back in Florida so we could hook up the Wrangler we had left in Mass. I had planned on taking it back to Florida with us. She had been sitting in this spot for over four months. Covered with tree sap, spider webs, and mildew stains, I got in and turned the key.

To my surprise, she fired up after two turns of the engine. The only problem was that the heater was only blowing slightly warm air. had to flush the heater core and got really good heat but for only a few days. Man, it's just too cold to have to work on the Jeep but I guess I'll have to give the system a full flushing to remove all the residue.

 

I also had an exhaust gasket blow out at the exhaust to converter flange. I kind of like the way it sounds. "Everything you own, owns a little bit of you"

 

We had a little rain the other day and these little birds were enjoying the puddle in front of the coach.

We changed the clocks yesterday and now it gets dark at 5 PM......that sucks.
