Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

More Whiskey

Our next run was to the #1 of 2 distillers in Tn. Jack Daniels
The welcome center here was very large as were the crowds. We even had a tough time finding a place to park.
That's a granite statue of Jack that they keep inside so the birds won't mess on him.
I could use a little of this mellowing, or that's what Joyce tells me all the time.
This is where it started, and you can read on by clicking on the pic's to enlarge them.

We toured a small barrelhouse and it had a nice aroma

Thought we'd try a little Jack on the rocks.
This is the last known picture of Jack.
The story goes that Jack came into work early one morning and wasn't able to open this safe. In his frustration he kicked the safe and broke his toe. A blood infection set in which required the removal of the toe, then the foot followed by the leg. The infection finally won and Jack died.
From the distillery we ventured into the town of Lynchburg for lunch. Every store you went into had Jack Daniels gifts and the little dinners used Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on everything.
From there we headed back to camp. The road was lined with these vines everywhere.

It has been a long time since we were there, but it sure looks like Jack is doing well:)
