Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Mac's Bucket List

Mac was still not feeling 100% so we took him to the Vet on Tuesday. He was examined, blood was taken and sent to a lab in New York.
Wednesday we received the results of the blood work, Mac's kidneys are shutting down. The Vet said that he could have six months at the most and told us what to look for as his health worsens.
Joyce and I discussed what we should do at this point in our trip, we weren't sure if we wanted to continue or turn for home. We knew how much Mac enjoys traveling and meeting new friends at every stop so we wanted his remaining days to be his best days. We decided to continue our trip for Mac. This will be Mac's "Bucket List" trip.

For those of you that don't know Mac, he is a 14 year old Cocker Spaniel that we have had since he was a pup. He has had more than his share of medical problems over the years but he has dealt with them just fine. He is a happy dog that loves meeting people and other dogs. He also enjoys travel and riding in the back of the Jeep. He is a bit of an alpha dog and likes to have things his way, so we compromise with him. I will be doing post on Mac from time to time so you can see some of the things that he gets to do on this trip.
Mac has a love for the beach so we took him to Crescent Beach on the East coast.

The sand on this beach is powder white and very fine, Mac got to run along the beach and run in and out of the water, he loved it.

Paul & Joyce, Sorry to read about Mac's health problems, we too have a 14 year old yellow lab/huskie mix named Duke, who is starting to decline with nosebleeds and labored breathing at times, our vet suspects some form of cancer, We too have decided to get all the time remaining and give Duke a good end on his terms. God Bless all of you, I just started reading your blog ans am anxious ly awaiting the day my wife and I can do some traveling. Sam & Donna
