Hmmmm, If you look really close....... maybe a hat would help!
NOW THAT WE'VE REACHED RETIREMENT, WE'RE OFF TO START THE NEXT ADVENTURE IN OUR LIVES. COME ALONG AND SEE WHERE WE'VE BEEN!
Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Mac & The Duke
Mac was deep in thought today, it seems he has an idol and wants to know if you can see the resemblance.

Forbidden Gardens
We visited Forbidden Gardens in Katy Texas Friday afternoon. Forbidden Gardens offers you a miniaturized tour of the Forbidden City of China. The tour was very interesting but I was not able to get much information about the construction, the owner, or history of the Forbidden Gardens, so I turned to the Internet. I was able to find some great information that answered all my questions at Roadside America . Below are some of the pictures taken during the tour. Pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Around town
Mac was due for a bath and clipping so Mom made an appointment to bring him around the corner to the groomer at 8:00 AM. This is the after picture but I couldn't get him to smile.
Joyce and I took a short ride to a little local restaurant for lunch. On the way we passed this gas station with the lowest diesel we had seen yet so I had to take the picture for my diesel RV friends. Get it while it last!!!

We also passed the Service Center that I use to frequent prior to retirement. It was still there so I stopped in for a quick hello.
Went to Sams for Burgers

Sam's is an old converted house with tables and chairs that don't match and floorboards that creek as you walk to your table.

We Made it to Houston
Ouch!! We were on our way to Houston when this happened. There was another car on the other side of the truck. Don't mess with those big trucks! The ambulance was there but there didn't seem to be anyone seriously injured.
Here we are in Houston at Traders Village campground / flea market. There is a large indoor flea market on the weekends so we are here till Sunday so we can check it out. In the mean time there's a great Mexican restaurant not far from here.

An afternoon on Bourbon Street
We drove in to New Orleans and we were lucky enough to find parking right off Canal street, love my Garmin GPS
Corner of Canal & Bourbon There were street performers doing their thing, but this guy was differant so I had to do a short video.
Sights & Sounds of Bourbon Street
There had been a shooting on Bourbon Street two days ago so the police were out in their observation booths.
A shot down the street.
Then we spotted this old Caddy
Those are watches glued to the right side rear roof panel, and they're all set at 6:00. Hice dash!
Great hood ornaments
