We will follow the same route through Pa. and into Ohio where we will jump on I 90 to Toledo.
At that point we will by heading for Port Huron. From Port Huron we will take scenic 25, to 13, to 23.
Once we get to the tip of Michigan, we will take 75 north for a short distance to route 2 west. This will take us into N. Dakota.
We realize that it will be a slow ride but we are not in any hurry and we would rather travel the scenic roads at our leisure and save the major highways when we need to make up some time.

a couple of places we found interesting when we visited MI were Sault St. Marie; there's a campground right along the water where the ships come up and prepare to go through the locks into Lake Superior. if you have a police scanner you can listen to the locks and the ships communicate. are you going to macinaw island? you really should do that! and also, up in the point that goes up into Lake Superior is a State Park at Copper Harbor ~ we really enjoyed our time there. occasionally people see some black bears there, although we didn't get to. check that stuff out on the internet if you'd like! have fun! we are heading to northern WI and MN and maybe MI if we can hook up with some friends we made there before, but first have to get the motorhome out of the shop. we've decided our backup camera is lost in transport.....:o(

meowmomma, thanks for the points of interest. We have heard so much about Mackinaw Island I'm sure we will try to make it.
Subldo, I usually try to list where we stay every night even when we do Walmarts. Stay tuned cause we leave on Monday!!!
