Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

A Beautiful Day

Got up at 8:00 this morning to 60 degree temps so it was time to do what I do best (as Joyce said). Wash the snow grim from the motorhome.
The kids got up shortly after and we sat and enjoyed the sunshine.
The we took a ride to Disney Market Place. A big outside mall but no dogs were allowed. So Casey and me sat on a bench while the rest of the guys shopped for a while. Joyce came out shortly after but the kids wanted to stay so Joyce and I left the kids to do their thing and we picked them up a couple of hours later.

We Made It!

We were ready to go from our 2nd Walmart by 8:30 AM. This one was in the town of Orangeburg.
Casey loves the attention.
Ahh, Palm trees!!
Crossing the Georgia line.
We stopped at the rest area in Georgia and the kids got out with their jackets on. Once that warm air hit them, the jackets came off.
The rest area was huge and Jess wanted to drive the coach, so I let her drive for the length of the rest area. She did really good, and seemed to enjoy the chance to try driving something like this.
We took a side trip to What-A-Burger so the kids could try a different burger place.
The temperature was 73 degrees so the guys sat on the curb for lunch. Working on their tans!
Tomorrow is a laid back day, we don't want to go to Disney on New Years eve so we are washing the coach and Jeep then do some site seeing.

On Our Way

This our street the day after the storm. We just left the house and it's 8:30 AM.
Boy, am I glad that we are out of here!
Day one was a ten hour drive that included two big traffic jambs that ate up the clock. But as you can see, Jess had a good time the first day.
We finally made it to Hagerstown and our first Walmart camp. This is Jess and Zach. I took this pic just before we started out on our 2nd day.
Day two was another long day but everyone was having a good time, here's Casey watching the traffic.
And here's Zach having a good time. Notice how he's checking out the scenery on his first trip to Disney.
Oh yea here's Jess, other than seeing a cow or two she spent most of the day surfing the web. What did we do before electronic devices.
Coming down through the Carolina's the views were really nice.
The kids did see their first Palm trees as we crossed into South Carolina. Tomorrow we should make it to our campground in Florida if the traffic allows.

Time To Dig Out

Got up this morning to better than a foot of snow, man I HATE this stuff. At least my guy plow the end of the driveway so we can make it out tomorrow. Now we just have to clear up to the coach so I can clean it off and get in.
Casey loves to pick up sticks and there were a lot that blew off the trees during the storm.
She didn't know what to do in the deep snow, so she just ran around the yard going nuts.
Our grand daughters, Megan, Jess and her boy friend Zach came over last night and made this snowman at our front door. Jess and Zach are coming with us to Florida and Disney. Zach has never been to Disney so this should be a real treat for him. I will introduce you to the kids as we hit the road
Tomorrow will be a busy day of getting up at 6:00 am and a long day of driving. See you at Walmart Hagerstown, Md.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

Joyce and I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We hope that Santa was good to you!

As of today we are watching the storm that is coming our way. It should be out of here by late Monday and hopefully the roads should be ok for our departure Tuesday morning.

The part that I hate is that the coach is all nice and clean. A mile down the slushy roads and it will look like a mess. Oh well!

It's Here!!!!!!!

We are now getting our first snow (bummer). Casey has never seen snow because this is her first winter and all she wants to do is lick it all up.

If we start to get any real buildup, I will move the coach to the driveway to insure we can get out of here in another week.

Winter Is Coming.....Fast

Yup, we are still here at home and doing the count down till departure. Not much to report other than it's been cold but no snow as of yet.
We have been lucky because it warms up when the rain comes and we would rather have the rain than snow.
Florida has been getting the cold weather like they had last year when we passed through, so we are hoping that it will get back to normal temps soon.

Whereas I will be turning 65 while we are on the road, I'm trying to get all the Medicare stuff taken care of before we leave. Man, this stuff is really confusing but I had a volunteer in town help me out. Just have to wait and see if I get my membership card for medical and drug coverage before we leave.

Happy Thanksgiving

Heres wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there. Go easy on the turkey and heavy on the nap.

Our Patriots will be playing at noon time so I will have to eat fast so I don't miss anything.

Safe travels to those of you that are on the road for this holiday, be safe!

Still Here And Doing The Countdown

Wow, time really flies, Joyce and I have been busy taking care of business. Joyce is back to work four days a week to help supplement our trip fund. With rising fuel prices, we will have to adjust the distance that we will be traveling.

I've been doing the dentist/doctor thing and we are getting all those check ups and flu shots out of the way.
Thanksgiving is close by and we will be having the family over for dinner. So much work for a meal and I really don't care much for turkey, rather it was chicken.

I been spending a lot of time everyday with Casey on a training leash. Getting her to heel when we walk, and to sit when ever I stop. She's doing pretty good, but at nine months old she still has a bit of puppy in her.

Balloons

Joyce was outside the other day with Casey when some hot air balloons came over.
This seems to be their normal route because we get them often.
As they came closer Casey didn't know what to make of them.
She just watched as they passed by and never barked.

Trip To Gillette Stadium And The Pats

We took a ride to Gillette stadium to see the Patriots museum.
The Museum is in here.
Is this where the Patriots put their bad players?
These gates open out to the playing field.
We came here to see the Patriots museum which starts on the third floor and works it's way down, there are a lot of interesting items that describe the various teams over the years that developed into today's Patriots.
As we stepped off the elevator, this was the first item I spotted.
Super Bowl Chopper
Adam Vinatieri celebrated the teams three Super Bowl wins by commemorating the team achievement's on this chopper

Bill Belichick likes to were a hoody with the sleeves cut back.

Tom Brady MVP award for 2007
A show of special win game balls.
AFC Ring
This thing is huge.
December 12, 1982....... Mark Henderson a prisoner on work release, had the job of keeping the yard lines clear of snow during the Pats Miami game. Before Smith, the Patriots kicker tried for a field goal, Mr. Henderson was asked to clear a spot for the kick. The kick was successful and gave the Patriots the 3-0 win against Miami.
Here it is!
Hum......Joyce in the huddle!
Fan memorabilia
Bill Belichick's Anchor
The anchor, 250 pounds!
More memorabilia
Three Super Bowl wins in four years. Joyce got to touch two of the three trophies because she was at the stadium when the players returned from their Super Bowl win with their trophy in hand.
This was really cool, a wedding party was outside the gate to the playing field doing shots of them in play formation.
