We are heading to Bracketville, Tx. to see The Alamo movie set that we visited last year.
On our way we passed through a small town and this looks like it was a hotel.....once!
Rain, rain, rain, we just can't seem to get away from the cold rain. We have only had a hand full of days where the sun has shown. Getting depressing.
We are on route 83 and it took us through some old towns.
Most of the cemeteries are loaded with plastic flowers and such. We passed one cemetery that even had a chain of plastic flowers weaved into the fence.
We also saw a lot of produce for sale along the road.
And here's a shot of one of the rest areas along route 83. Shame on Texas, it doesn't look like they ever empty the barrels.
We have made it to Bracketville only to find out that the Alamo movie set is closed. It seems that the women that owned the property, died and now they don't know what will become of the property. I hope someone saves the place, it would be a shame to let it rot away.
