Last night was a wild wind storm night with gust over forty MPH. Prior to the dark clouds, it was a calm beautiful night. Then the TV was warning of a cold front coming our way with high damaging winds. That's when we went outside to see the dark clouds coming in fast. Within ten minutes we had to go in because the wind was blowing the dirt and dust around.
The winds got so bad that I had to pull the slides in on the coach for fear that the topper awnings over the slides, would be damaged. The high wind lasted till about two AM, then ended as quickly as it started. The news this morning stated that the same storm is headed across country towards New England.
I got up the next morning and put the slides out but broke a shear-pin on the galley slide. That's me try to get the broken piece of the pin out of the drive shaft hole. I carry some spare shear-pins just in case things like this happen. I replaced the broken pin, cleaned and lubricated the slide.
We are suppose to be here till the 13th but I think we will be moving on tomorrow. We are both getting the itch to get out of here for different surroundings. When we move, it will be to an area close to Langtry, Tx. and I'm not sure what kind of cell or internet coverage we will have.
