Today it got up to 80 degrees so we figured we'd take a ride to Cypress Gardens. So here we are!
And it's not there anymore. The park is being reworked to become Legoland. Oh well, it was still a beautiful day so we took the back roads home.
On our way back we came across "Fantasy of Flight"
They have a nice collection of old planes and even give rides.
This is a
Lockheed Constellation. It has no engines and the interior is stripped. The only other ones I have seen, are in Auburn, Maine. The Connie has four 18 cylinder Radial engines and must really sound great when running.
Another classic.
There were lone orange trees everywhere along the back roads so we had to stop for a few fresh ones.
