As we got closer to the State Park, Joyce called and found out they are full due to school vacation. We then came upon a Walmart and I headed for the exit. We needed to do some grocery shopping and I needed to get a prescription filled.
NOW THAT WE'VE REACHED RETIREMENT, WE'RE OFF TO START THE NEXT ADVENTURE IN OUR LIVES. COME ALONG AND SEE WHERE WE'VE BEEN!
Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

No Room At Abilene State Park
We took our time this morning and broke camp around 10:30 to move on to Abilene State Park. As we got on the highway we ran into what I called Bagville.
The sad part is that this went on for miles.
Not sure but I believe there was a landfill close by.
Here's a truck hauling copper plate from the copper mines.
The trees are in bloom as the weather warms.
As we approached Sweetwater (The Wind Turbine Capitol Of Texas) all you could see were huge wind generators everywhere, a total of 585 in all. And who's at the bottom of all the wind power......T. Boone Pickens
Sweetwater also am annual "Rattlesnake Roundup" which we just missed. Bummer, I would have loved to try some fried rattlesnake.

We found a campground that;s not too fr from Abilene and they have room so we will park it there tomorrow for a couple of days.
