Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

OUCH!

Man I hate the "Golden Years", I can't grow hair on my head but I have strange things growing everywhere else.
This is a shot of the top of my left hand. That growth is supposedly a Keratoacanthoma that is about 1/2" in diameter. This is my third trip to the doctors and they were suppose to remove it. Well......because the growth is painful to the touch, they believe it may be resting on a nerve. Soooo, no way do they want to touch it. They set me up to see a surgeon on Thursday in hopes to get it removed. So we're stuck here in Florida until I get this taken care of. Oh Man!!!!

Gator Feeding Time

We have a resident Gator that lives in the large pond by the pool area. This morning I spotted him on the other side of the pond with something in his mouth.
Along with half a mouth full of water growth, it looked like our Gator got himself a big fish.
If I had to guess, I would say that it was a large catfish. You can check out the pics below and clicking on the picture will enlarge it.
Now wasn't that really cool?

Joyce Visits The Thai Buddhist Temple

While Joyce was home visiting, she found out about a Buddhist temple being built locally, will be the largest Thai Buddhist temple outside of Bangkok and the tallest structure in Raynham.
Though not a follower, Joyce has an interest in the Buddhist way of life. She even went to Boston some years ago when His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso, the Dalai Lama visited.

So when she heard of the new Temple being built close by, she had to see it. While at the construction site she had the pleasure to meet the senior Monk and have the picture below taken. Joyce and our granddaughter Jessica also got to have a light lunch with the Monk.

Christmas, Florida

Yes......Florida does have it's own Christmas
The town has an Historical Park that we came upon by surprise.
The Fort contained buildings of different types.
This building contained some really neat appliances.
Everything was in like new condition.
From the Lunch Room, we moved on to the School.
 School House
This is the part that Joyce enjoyed...the school house had a nice display of old typewriters.
Joyce has been wanting one of these for years.
 Do not touch!
Then there was the classroom in the back.
From the school we ventured out to the rest of the fort.
 Some points of interest.
 Large area.
 Some info on homesteading.
One of the different styles of houses.
Not bad for it's day.
Sort of a ranch hand type of house.

 Another home.
These houses are replicas built 35 years ago.
Christmas got it's own stamp!

This house was part Post Office, part private home.
Just the right size for a small family.
Some info on a couple more homes.

 Small but cozy.
 And I loved the chimney.
And the wars were going on during this time.
The Fort was the place to go during an Indian attack.
Here comes the troops with their Indian guide.
Some of the artifacts found in the area.
