Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Arts And Craft Sale For Local SPCA

The Campground had an Arts & Craft sale where all the proceeds go to the local SPCA.

There were pies, cookies, cupcakes, and specialty dessert items.......YUM!
There was also popcorn, hot dogs, chili, soft drinks, etc.
 And there were crafts.
There was even a professional auctioneer
They also had an art show and sale. Here are some of Joyce's water colors.
There was a good turn-out for the event
And we can't forget the entertainment.
We don't have a final count yet but last year the event totaled over $1300.00 for the area SPCA.

OOPS!

I normally get up at 6:30 to get ready for work at 7:30. Well......this morning I looked at the alarm and it looked like 6:00 AM so rather than wait for the alarm, I got up. After getting dressed and sitting to have my coffee, I looked at the clock. Oh man it's only 5:00 AM. I hate it when that happens! Anyways....

We went for lunch the other day on our way to Kohls. Never been to a Steak n Shake so we tried it out.
Joyce had a cheese burger with guacamole...yuk! She said it was good.
I had the double cheese burger with sauteed onions and a pad of Wisconsin creamery butter.  It was really good. Their burgers and fries run about $4.29 but the quality is really good. We will be back!

Monday it was the coldest day since we have been here. It was actually 32 at 6:30 AM.
But buy afternoon, Casey hopped up on the table to warm up.
A day later Joyce took this picture......was in the high 70's
Today it is suppose to get into the 80's so after work, it's off to the beach to work on the tan!
WOW it's still only 5:45 AM, maybe I can have a little nap.

Bath Time For Casey

While everyone back home is shoveling out from the blizzard, we took Casey to the dog wash.
Casey has been here before and doesn't seem to mind it. For $10, you get 12 minutes of time to wash your dog. This is like a car wash, once you put you deposit your money, you turn the knob to the desired selection, and you're on your way.

RC SHOW

The local RC club had an air show about a half hour away from us so we had to check it out.
As stated above, this plane is half scale. I had Joyce stand next to it so you could get an idea of how big the plane is.
Most of the model planes were pretty big and had about 5' wing spans. They were mostly biplanes.
If you look closely, you will notice two jets.
This is a model that has a real jet engine. It shows two engines but really only has one. The plane has been clocked at 121 MPH and when it flew, it sounded and looked like the real thing.
This one gentleman, had these detailed models that he built. The detail was awesome.
So much work went into the construction of these models, I would be afraid to fly them.
He had three of the models that he built and he does fly them.......cautiously!
This jet model of an A10 actually has two jet engines. The planes has working lights, a canopy that opens, and retractable landing gear. At a cost of about $5000.00 for each engine, the model totals out at about $40,000.00. Oh yea..it also drops bombs....
