Quoted From A Fellow Traveler:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

We've Moved

We moved to another site in the same campground because someone had reservations for the site we are on. So, we only moved up one row.
Casey made new friends today. Two Border Collies from next to us at our new site, wanted to play.
So.... they all went swimming together.
Tomorrow we are going to rent a golf cart and take Casey cruising the Villages for the day.

Nice Day For A Ride

Today it got up to 80 degrees so we figured we'd take a ride to Cypress Gardens. So here we are!
And it's not there anymore. The park is being reworked to become Legoland. Oh well, it was still a beautiful day so we took the back roads home.
On our way back we came across "Fantasy of Flight"
They have a nice collection of old planes and even give rides.
This is a Lockheed Constellation. It has no engines and the interior is stripped. The only other ones I have seen, are in Auburn, Maine. The Connie has four 18 cylinder Radial engines and must really sound great when running.
Another classic.
There were lone orange trees everywhere along the back roads so we had to stop for a few fresh ones.

Steps Fixed

I had posted that we were having problems with our steps coming in on their own. I had noticed that the it seemed to happen during or after a rain or heavy morning dew.

Joyce had a spray bottle so I filled it with water, crawled under the front of the coach and commenced to squirt water on the two pin connectors but nothing happened.

I then noticed two crimped connections that were for the magnetic switch on the door that activates the stairs. As soon as I soaked the connectors, the steps came in. Yahoo....final found the gremlin. I replaced the two connectors and everythings seems to be ok. Time will tell but I'm sure that was it.

Joyce is heading out to a quilt show with a friend, Casey and I will go out and enjoy the sun.

Stormy Weather

Had a storm pass through night before last. There were tornado warnings with 1" hail.
All we got was rain, and it really rained for about an hour and that was it.
We just signed for another week here at Southern Oaks RV Resort. The weather is nice and Casey gets to play and swim every day why leave.
We are waiting for things to warm up in New Orleans and Texas, I am not going to move for colder weather.
Speaking of cold weather, we just got a call from our friends at home in Mass. and the got another 15" of snow. Boy are we glad we are not there. They have had three major storms in a row and are running out of room for putting the snow. Brrrrrrrr!
Time to go and get some sun!

Casey Has A New Friend

Casey made a new friend at the campground, his name is Chance and he's part Austrailian Shepherd and it was love at first sight. There's a fenced in area where the dogs can run free. In the middle of this area there is a shallow body of water.
Casey only had to spot the water, and the fun began.
The two dogs played for about an hour, in and out of the water.
Also had a tug of war, dog style.
It was a warm day and they dried out in no time.

Having Problems With Steps

The door steps on the motorhome have suddenly developed a mind of their own.
I have the switch set to keep the steps open but for the last week they have been coming in on their own. It's strange, because we would be sitting outside and all of a sudden the steps would go in!

I had found a bad ground on the wiring and fixed that and everything seemed fine then the steps would do it again a couple days later. I have been chasing this for a couple weeks and I'm running out of ideas so I have posted for help from the Tiffin forum. They usually have good ideas so we'll see what happens.

Other than that we have nothing exciting to report, the weather is in the high 60's and I'm trying to get rid of a cough from a cold I got four weeks ago. This always happen when I get a cold, have to get better drugs for the cough.

Moved North Seven Miles

We have moved north seven miles from the Villages on route 441. We are at a new Passport America Campground named Southern Oaks. We got the 50% discount for a week, I love it!

Weather is cool today, in the low 60's so we will see how the temp's are doing next week when it's time to move.
The sites here are huge as you can see, plenty of room on both sides of us. Tonight we are making Enchilada's for dinner, mmmmm.

A Relaxing Day

Joyce went off with her friend shopping while I stayed home, sat in the warm sun and did some reading. It was a nice relaxing day until Joyce came home and our neighbor was calling me.

Bob claimed that he told his wife that he wanted a new pet. So...on her way home, she picked one up. The problem is that it was dead as you could tell by the smell.
Bob had to ham it up with his wood gun. Yes, the gun is wood that he made from various piece of wood.

Just Hanging Around

This is the center of Spanish Town in the Villages, the town was design by Paramount Studios. There are many shops and restaurants, and there's always something going on like car shows or live music.
You will see some pretty awesome cars here. This is a new Corvette that has a custom 1953 body.
And this is only one of many custom cars here.
Here we are driving through the Villages, the road to the right is for golf carts, bikes, etc. You can travel throughout the Villages and the malls in a golf cart.
This is one of the Villas we have looked at, the Villas have a closed in yard which offers privacy if that's what you are looking for.
The villages isn't for everyone, but if your active and want to fill your life with just about anything from biking clubs, RC Boats and Planes, Dancing, Golfing and Archery, this is your Adult Disney World. There are over 78000 people here and that number continues to grow so I guess they must be ding something right here!

Still Here

Nothing much to report, we are still in the same campground and really see no reason to move. It is cold in the morning but a warming trend is coming in a couple of days.
We have checked the weather forecast in the areas we plan on traveling and it's colder. I want warm weather and not willing to spend money on fuel to go to a colder climate. So....we may be here for another week.

Back home we have a buyer for our home but we have been going back and forth on defining the minor details. If everything works out, we will close the deal when we get home at the end of April. We really hope this will work out and we can move on, I guess it will happen if it's meant to be.

We have been looking at homes in the Villages while we are here, there is soooo much to do at the Villages. If we were to move here, we would travel in the summer to the northern states.

Casey has a hot spot at the base of her tail so we have to take a ride and get some stuff for her, and some cold drugs for me.

Thanks Disney!

Well, thanks to the thousands of people at Disney, I have what I believe to be the newest strain of the flu.
Joyce says it's just a cold but I never get JUST a cold, I always get strange virus's that last for weeks.

The weather is cloudy and it looks like it's going to rain. We have been taking Casey to a dog park that's only a couple miles away.

So, I've got to get off my butt and try to shake this cold. See ya!

Moved Up North

The kids got off without a hitch and made it home before the snow hit.

We have moved up north about an hour and a half to Lady Lake. We are at the Blue Parrot campground. This campground is old and all the lots are sand but it's clean and everyone is friendly. We are also only about a mile away from our friends.
There's suppose to be a dog park close by so we are going to take Casey there and wear her out because she's driving us nuts and needs to run.

The Kids Have Gone Home

For their last night in Florida the troupes elected to go to CiCi's again for dinner. As you can see, Jessica likes the place.
I mean she was REALLY excited to go back.
Jess and her Grandmother have a bonding moment.
This morning we loaded up into the Jeep to head out to the airport. Jess was really excited about going home.
At the airport, here are the kids at the departure terminal. We enjoyed having them so much, it was sad to see them go. We all had such a great time.
After leaving the airport, Joyce and I stopped at the Gaylord Palms to check it out. We have been to the Gaylord hotel in TN. so we knew that this place would be beautiful.
We were able to park for free for 30 minutes, after that it cost $13 per hour. We entered buy one of the three pools.
Very classy place!
Was a bit cool for the pool.
The interior of the hotel and the garden area are totally closed in and the roof is all glass.
You can see the roof in this shot, the gardens are everywhere with a stream stocked with fish that runs through them.
The gardens are even complete with turtles and gators.
These gators are little guys about 2-3 feet long.
Tomorrow we will be moving to a different campground that's about and hour and a half away. We have friends at the Villages that we will be visiting.

The Kids Last Day

The kids wanted to hang around today so Joyce and I were going to do a little shopping. But before leaving we had to take Casey for her walk. We are training her to heal and she is doing very well.

Joyce and I took a ride to the Disney Market so she could do some gift shopping plus get herself a Disney sweatshirt. She got the gifts but no sweatshirt!
Forrest....Forrest Gump!
If you saw the movie, this is the shrimp boat.
The store were the two cars below were, was a store where you could buy an RC car. The neat part was that you would buy the chassis, then select wheels and tires, then a body from various types. At that point the store employees would assemble the car and you had a car made up of the parts you picked. What a great idea! The cars below are real and were on display.

What a sweet ride!!!!!!
Th House of Blues is where the Blues Brothers performed!
Out with the old. This building was being demolished to make room for something new.
This looked like a cool place to eat.
This is the Lego store where kids passing by can play with legos that are on tables outside.
The Lego transformer!
This is a Lego sea serpent that.
Wow, this must have taken a long time to make when you consider how small the pieces are.
The troops just wanted to lounge around today and prepare themselves for the trip back to reality.
